# Overview

This documentation is for developers integrating Wallee into their applications or platforms. Whether you're building a checkout flow for an online shop or accepting payments at a physical point of sale, you'll find everything you need here to get started.

Wallee provides two integration paths:

|               | Online Payments                          | In-Person Payments                 |
| ------------- | ---------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| **Use case**  | E-commerce, subscriptions, payment links | POS terminals, retail, hospitality |
| **Interface** | REST API, hosted payment page, plugins   | Terminal SDK, cloud-based POS API  |

## Getting Started

Before diving into either integration path, we recommend going through the general setup first. This covers everything you need to get your environment ready — API credentials, authentication, and how to use the Wallee sandbox for testing.
