# Application User

### What is an application user?

An Application user is required to enable communication between a shop system (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento) and external services such as payment providers, ERP systems, or logistics platforms.\
\
It serves as a secure, authenticated access point that allows the shop system to send and receive data via the API, such as order details, inventory updates, customer data, and transaction information.

### How to create an application user

Within your Account, click on [Application user](https://{inject-platform-url}/app-wallee.com/select?target=/user/application/list) and create a new one. As soon as the user has been created, you will receive an authentication key and a user ID.

The key is only visible once, so keep it somewhere safe for future use. If the key is lost, you can create a new one at any time.

### Synchronization with Shop System

The following data is required for synchronization in the store system:

* Space ID
* User ID
* Authentication Key

After these 3 have been entered and saved in the plugin configuration, {inject-platform-name} synchronizes with the desired store system\\
