# Using the terminal

How to take payments and use the menus on your terminal.

These pages explain how to work with the payment app on your terminal:

* **Accept a payment:** take card payments and understand what the terminal shows.
* **Transaction menu:** refunds, reversals, gift cards and other transaction types.
* **Settings menu:** check your terminal's details, test the connection and adjust device settings.
