# Shopify

**Shopify** is a Canadian e-commerce company based in Ottawa, Ontario. It builds software for online stores and point-of-sale systems for retail businesses.

We have a **direct integration** with **Shopify's payment gateway**, which means you can process payments using your preferred payment methods directly in your Shopify store.

**Shopify has changed how payments work on their platform.** You now **must install the new Shopify Payments app** to continue processing payments.

Two capabilities are **no longer supported** with the new integration:

* **Shopify Subscriptions** — recurring payments via Shopify's native subscription feature are no longer available.
* **Integrated payment form** — the payment form now redirects to a secure hosted page instead of being embedded in the Shopify checkout.
